Orientation: 

This trail goes through old cultural traditions where the first settlers in Värmland settled, mainly in the lake Värmeln. Start and finish at Sandvikengården. The paddling is done in Värmeln and Little Värmeln pass Borgvik in Värmelns southern end. The beaches have unusually little buildings and a large number of islands suitable for overnight stays.

Provisioning:

Edane (Mon-Sun 9-20), Degerbyn (Mon-Fri 09.30-18, Sat 10-13) and Grums with several shops.

Water:

We recommend that drinking water be brought in a can, while all cooking can be done with seawater (which is boiled). Do not use the water in Grumsfjorden where the water may be polluted from Grums community. 

Fishing:

Fishing licenses are available for purchase at Sandvikengården. Canoe trail fishing license B, SEK 100 per week and canoe. Does not apply in Långsjön!

Problem:

Bad weather is just one of the reasons why you may need to cancel your canoe trip elsewhere than planned. You can always contact Sandvikengården for collection along the trail, but feel free to call a day in advance to determine the time and place.
