On the shore of Värmeln in western Värmland, just outside Arvika, lies Sandvikengården. The farm offers a fantastic environment, without luxury but with care and feeling. We are in the middle of a period of rebuilding and developing the business, we are working to strengthen our vision and take advantage of the great commitment that exists among the members of our member associations. Now we are looking for you who want to take a leading role in developing the farm and the business and, together with other staff and members, work to preserve the special atmosphere that many of our guests talk about.

About Sandvikengården

Sandvikengården is a course and camp farm and the operations also include a hostel, canoe center and events such as midsummer celebrations and Christmas dinners. We arrange our own camps and courses but also have a large number of external groups and individual guests. Sandvikengården wants to be: a mission station in Sweden that spreads the gospel to everyone, but prioritizes children and youth. The farm should be a home with a relaxing environment that provides space for recreation in a Christian and drug-free environment and a gathering point for EFS Värmland – Norra Dalsland. A place that members feel involved and co-responsible for. A part of the local EFS work and a resource for EFS in Western Sweden and an open farm for the people of the region.

Responsibilities and duties

The farm manager is the one who holds the farm together. The farm manager is responsible for the farm's daily operations and operations during the year. The farm manager also has an important role, together with the board, in the long-term work with the business. The main areas of the position are bookings and hosting, finance and administration, operations and maintenance and personnel. As a farm manager, you have a large overall responsibility and coordinate employees and non-profit resources. The farm manager is responsible for planning, implementing and following up on bookings, is involved in developing pricing and budgets, is responsible for marketing and reporting to authorities and employers. You are also responsible, together with the Sandviken Committee, for planning and maintenance and investments as well as planning seasonal staff and work management. Your main contact persons are the local supervisor, the mission leader for the EFS Region West Sweden and the chairman of the District Association and the Sandviken Committee.

About you

The position requires that you have a driver's license and a geographical proximity to the farm as the position requires a high degree of presence, as well as proficiency in Swedish and English in speech and writing. Education or equivalent experience in business management, leadership, financial accounting, marketing and building maintenance is an advantage. You need to have social skills in meeting people and a sense of order. As we have a small staff group, flexibility and joy in carrying out various tasks on the farm are required.
