Sandvikengården recruits an 20 number of seasonal workers during June - August for work in kitchen, as an assistant, cook, housekeeper or as a caretaker, receptionist and in the canoe center.

Sandvikengården is looking for an assistant farm manager

Sandvikengården is located by Värmeln's beach in western Värmland, just outside Arvika. It offers a fantastic environment, without luxury but with care and feeling. The farm's operations have steadily increased in recent years and now we are looking for you who can enter the position as deputy farm manager. 

Sandvikengården is a course and camp yard run by EFS - a movement within the Church of Sweden - with a Christian values. The business also includes hostels, canoe centers and events such as midsummer celebrations and Christmas table service. We arrange our own camps and courses but also have a large number of external groups and individual guests.

Many of our guests talk about the special atmosphere that exists at Sandvikengården. An important task is to preserve and develop this atmosphere.

As an assistant manager, you help the current manager with the farm's daily operation and long-term activities. Your tasks consist of hosting, marketing, finance and administration, but also practical tasks connected to buildings, outdoor / indoor environment and canoe center.

The responsibility for the day-to-day operations includes work management of staff. During the low season, the farm has about four employees. During the high season, ie the summer, there are about ten kitchen employees and five farm employees. During the summer months, many schoolchildren have their first job at Sandvikengården.


We are looking for you as

  • - thinks it is important to have good service and satisfied guests. 

  • - is creative, problem-solving and not afraid to work practically. 

  • - is self-sufficient and responsible. 

  • - have good knowledge of English
  • - has basic financial and computer skills
  • - has the ability to structure, plan and prioritize tasks

Work experience - Requirements 
At least two years' work experience in areas relevant to the service, such as property management, financial administration, payroll management, business management 

Work experience - Meritorious 
Experience of parish and / or non-profit activities, administrative work, leisure leader work, restaurant work 

Education - Meritorious 
Property manager education, Bible school 

Driving license
Meritorious - BEbryggan18

About the service 
The position is 75%, trust working hours apply.
We start with a probationary period of six months with the intention of then transferring to permanent employment. Access by agreement.

 fixed monthly salary according to agreement.
